AWS Launches the General Availability of AWS Ground Station
AWS Ground Station is a fully managed service that lets you control satellite communications, process data, and scale your operations without having to worry about building or managing your own ground station infrastructure.
Once customers upload satellite commands and data through AWS Ground Station, they can quickly download large amounts of data over the high-speed AWS Ground Station network and immediately process it on their own AWS cloud system.

Over 90% of Data Transactions on IoT devices Are Unencrypted
A study that looked at millions of connections from IoT devices integrated on enterprise networks found that over 40% of them do not encrypt their traffic. This means a large number of such devices are exposed to man-in-the-middle (MitM) attacks where hackers in a position to intercept traffic can steal or manipulate data.

Smart City Traffic Tech Revenue Set to More than Double
Revenue from smart city traffic technology is predicted to more than double in the next four years to reach $4.4 billion by 2023, according to a new report. This is up from $2 billion in 2019.
The report notes that solutions used to ease congestion typically use sensors in combination with machine learning software algorithms to dynamically alter traffic light phasing according to traffic levels and smooth urban traffic flows.

139M Customer Records Stolen in Hack of Popular Graphic Design Tool Site Canva
Around 139 million customer records have been stolen from a hack that targeted graphic design tool website Canva Pty. Ltd.
The data theft occurred on May 24, with the details coming to light only after the hacker or hacking group behind the attack, GnosticPlayers, tipped off ZDNet Friday. The data stolen included customer usernames, real names, email addresses and geographic location information.
